Highlight the best and worst buildings in Sleaford

Now is the time to pay tribute to some of the best looking - and worst looking - buildings in town.

The Sleaford and District Civic Trust awards are once again open for nominations to recognise pleasing building and improvement projects in the town.

Plaques will be awarded by the Trust for eligible projects which include new buildings, extensions and remodelling of existing buildings in Sleaford, Holdingham and Quarrington and its adjacent parishes, and any building which makes a contribution to its environment will be considered.

Nominations for a Mess of the Year are also being invited, where people can recommend building which are slightly less pleasing to the eye.

To nominate a building, submit the nomination in writing to Mrs Sheena Gordon at 7 The Pines, Boston Road, Sleaford NG34 7DN by January 31.

The idea of the Civic Trust awards is to encourage and acknowledge creative improvements to the town and promote building quality.
