Hospice summer fair

ST Barnabas Sleaford Hospice’s Fundraising Group is holding its annual summer fair later this month.

The event is being staged on Saturday September 29 at the Winchelsea Centre, High Street, Ruskington.

The fun starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm. As well as refreshments, cakes, raffle, and tombola, people will also be able to join in fun games aimed at children and those young at heart.

Throughout the day, people will also have the chance to throw wet sponges at St Barnabas Event Fundraiser, Chris Fox who will be locked in the stocks at various times.

Chris said: “I have always said that fundraising should be fun and I am looking forward to this year’s Summer Fair. I have a feeling I am in for a soaking with the sponge throwing, but if it helps us raise extra pounds, then bring it on.”

For information or to donate a tombola/raffle prize, contact Chris on 01529 415545.

If your club or society is interested in having a stall at the Fair, again, call Chris.

The event is free to enter and all proceeds on the day will go to St Barnabas Sleaford Hospice, which provides palliative care, free of charge to patients and their families, through inpatient care, day hospice care, Hospice at Home, night vare and family and carers support service.

Their team of nurses and volunteers work tirelessly in the Sleaford area to provide a better quality of life for patients with terminal diseases.
