Italian taste comes to Sleaford

THE Italians are coming to Sleaford

Friendly Italian food market, Italia in Piazza, comes to Sleaford for the first time on Sunday July 25 from 10am to 4pm.

Italia in Piazza is a traditional Italian food market comprising 18 gazebos decorated with the "Tricolore" Italian flags. All of the foods on sale, including some of the breads, are imported directly from producers in Italy.

There will be a wide variety of foods on sale including a vast array of cheeses and cured meats, a wonderful selection of the classic Cremona Torrone (soft nougat), cakes, sweets and a variety of biscuits. The market will feature a selection of olive oils, balsamic vinegars and a huge choice of olives as well as different shapes and sized pasta and speciality breads. If you want to eat something while browsing then why not try an Italian hot dog made with 100 per cent Italian pork sausages, calzone pizzas or risotto cakes, better known as Arancini, with different fillings.

Simon Faro, managing director of Italia in Piazza says: "Our market is innovative and authentic as it's owned and managed by one organisation. This means that we ensure high quality produce is sold with professional advice to make sure that you are happy with your purchases."

The aim is to lift the town's vibrancy and increase footfall to other shops in teh town centre. This attraction, which has previously visited many towns in and around the area, has never visited Sleaford before.
