Jazz band hit the right notes

THE Saratoga Jazz Ensemble drew a good crowd for the annual jazz concert in St Denys' Church in Sleaford.

The concert on Saturday night was heralded as one of the best ever by members of the audience and by organiser Eddy Double.

It raised 895.10 for church funds and adds to that raised by an extra jazz concert in the church in May to make a total of 1,600.

Mr Double believed the extra concert had actually boosted interest in the events but paid tribute to all the volunteers for helping make it possible.
