New editor joins the team

Stephen Stray this week joins the Sleaford Standard team as editor.

Stephen, who is also editor of the paper’s sister title the Boston Standard, replaces John Lavery who left for pastures new last week.

“I am delighted to take on the role as editor of the Sleaford Standard in addition to my responsibilities in Boston,” said Stephen.

“I am looking forward to getting to know the town and the communities here better and engaging with you, our readers.

“I was very impressed with what I saw when I visited for the Christmas Market on Sunday and everyone I met was very welcoming.”

As well as the paper, Stephen will also be looking to build on The Standard’s online presence.

He added: “I am also really keen to hear from you about what you want from your local weekly read, both in the paper and online.”
