More than 2,500 people enjoyed a festive day of craft, live music, and more at the National Centre for Craft and Design on Saturday.

Gifted.12 was the centre’s first contemporary Christmas fair since it re-branded a year ago and it offered the perfect opportunity for shoppers looking for unique handmade gifts.

Visitors were able to browse more than 50 stallholders showcasing the best of contemporary handmade, high-quality craft and local produce including glass, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, lighting and seasonal food.

There were workshops and demonstrations happening throughout the day with artists demonstrating their skills and craft, while children could make tree decorations and paint baubles.

Navigation Yard came alive with musical entertainment throughout the day from local bell ringers, choirs to contemporary bands and opera. The ever-popular Sleaford Ukulele Orchestra held a workshop in the morning inviting visitors to try their hand at ukulele playing and then performed their finished pieces in the afternoon in the main gallery.
