Record number of open gardens
THE ANNUAL open gardens event in Billingborough will boast a record number of gardens open to the public this year.
On Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, 12 gardens will be opening.
Ranging from gardens of historic buildings to gardens of newly built houses, there will be plenty to look at, with some of the best gardens the village has to offer on show. One garden also has vintage vehicles that the public can have a look at.
Visitors are asked to park at the church and proceed to the vicarage to buy this year's programme for 3, which will allow you to wander around all the village gardens on show at your leisure. Homemade refreshments will also be available from the vicarage.
The church itself will be decorated with entries for the floral competitions based on 'Jewellery from Flowers' in the children's categories and 'Flower Arrangement in a Shoe' for the adult's.
The garden's will be available to view from between 11am to 5pm on Saturday July 4 and 2pm to 4.30pm on Sunday July 5. All proceeds from the event will go to church funds.
