River Slea attractions

HISTORIC Sleaford attractions Cogglesford Watermill and Navigation House in Sleaford are linking up to celebrate the United Nation’s World Environment Day.

Between 11am and 4pm on Sunday June 10 visitors can enjoy a picturesque walk between the two venues and discover the natural delights along the River Slea.

Navigation House will be hosting the SustainNK display giving information about how we can help protect our environment, alongside static and interactive displays detailing the history of trade and life on the River Slea. Children can collect an entry form and begin their adventure along the nature trail through Lollycocks Field to Cogglesford Watermill, where a reward is on offer for completed forms.

At the mill visitors can learn about indigenous trees and the work of the Boston Woods Trust, as well as watch the mill in operation. Admission free. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
