Sculpture exhibits in hall garden

A COUNTRY house has opened its first ever sculpture exhibition.

From now until September 2, the gardens of Doddington Hall, near Lincoln are the setting for an exhibition of over 350 works from over 60 national and international sculptors.

Carefully selected, the works will be in all mediums, from bronze to aluminium, ceramics to wood, marble to stone, wind and kinetic pieces to water and glass.

Edward Strange, Divisional Director of sponsors Brewin Dolphin, of Lincoln said: “We are delighted to sponsor this exhibition. Not only do people get to enjoy the work of accomplished sculptors but they can also take pleasure in the beautiful setting of Doddington Hall and its gardens.”

l Weather permitting the organisers of car boot sales in Fulbeck are hoping that this Saturday’s sale will go ahead after the July 14 event had to be cancelled due to a build up of water on the playing field.

For this Saturday, people can set up at Fulbeck playing field from 7am, with sales starting at 9am. Pitches are £5. For more information call 01400 273941.
