The story of a bomber pilot

IN a year that has seen the unveiling of new memorials to Bomber Command in London and at Beachy Head, Sleaford Museum Trust is hosting a talk by Cyril Peters DFC on his experiences as a Halifax bomber pilot in the Second World War.

This will be an opportunity to encounter living history in Sleaford on this phase of the war.

The talk will take place at St Denys’ Church Room, Market Place, Sleaford on Tuesday July 31 at 7.30pm. Entry is £2, or free to members of the Museum Trust.

The Trust will also be in action during at the Heckington Show where it will be manning an information stand. There will also be details of the progress now being made to establish a town museum for Sleaford.
