Time to find Joy

A comic, moving and heroic tale of unravelling realities is brought to life within the new, full mask production Finding Joy, brought to The Terry O’ Toole Theatre by Vamos Theatre.

The play follows Joy who is creative, funny, loves to dance – and is losing her memory. Her grandson Danny is rebellious, fearless, bright and always getting into trouble. Out of the blue, Danny decides to become Joy’s carer. So where will their unexpected bond lead them?

Finding Joy is a heroic tale of adventure – and dementia. It has been created in association with movement play specialist JABADAO and is based on life events and true stories.

Worcestershire-based Vamos Theatre tours all over the world, taking its unique style of innovative and engaging theatre to small and large communities alike.

The company is dedicated to devised work, physical and fantastical adaptations of human stories, often rooted in real life histories and events as well as being passionate about theatre and its role in people’s lives.

Finding Joy will be performed on Friday, March 1, at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £10, with concessions at £8 and under 18s at £5, and are available from the box office by calling 01522 883311.

This production is suitable for anyone aged 12 years and over.
