Touring duo hit the hall

HIGHLY-praised instrumental duo Horses Brawl will be performing at Barkston and Syston Village Hall on Saturday October 17.

The musicians from Norfolk are on tour with the music from their latest, third, album, Wild Lament, a collection of pieces the pair have arranged and composed from fragments of ancient melodies combined with traditional folk music from England and Europe.

The group experiment with different instruments to create unique and exciting sounds which draws in audiences.

The album received a four-star rating from The Times newspaper.

Horses Brawl are Laura Cannell, who plays recorders, fiddle and crumhorns, and Adrian Lever, who plays guitar and bowed guitar.

The show will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are 6 for adults and 3 for children. Ticket price includes tea, coffee and biscuits. Audiences can also bring their own drinks. (Tel: 01400 250518).
