Tree festival returns

The 11th annual festival of decorated Christmas trees takes place at Sleaford Methodist Church on the weekend of December 1 and 2.

The trees will be on display from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday.

The Mayor of Sleaford and Town Crier will officially open the festival on Saturday at 10am.

The price of admission will be adults £2, children with adults free, (all children must be accompanied by an adult). Refreshments will be served on both days including light lunches. There will be a cake stall with jams, preserves and pickles, a raffle, tombola stall and a quiz for the children again, with a prize for the winning entrant.

Organisers are expecting a good display of over 70 Christmas trees from a wide variety of local businesses, organisations and individuals. A donation from the proceeds will be given to the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance Appeal.

The Christmas Tree Festival works alongside the Sleaford Christmas Market.
