Village prepares for feast day

VILLAGERS in Digby are busily preparing for their annual feast.

This year’s Digby Feast is taking place on Saturday and will feature among the attractions a treasure hunt, duck racing, dog show and fun fair.

There will also be various displays by local groups, a wide variety of craft stalls and traditional games.

The popular cross to cross run, from Digby Cross to Rowston Cross, is back again and there will be a photographic competition, ‘Highways and Byways’ and a ginger cake competition.

To coincide with the feast, Digby Church will be hosting a flower festival.

The day will conclude with a family ceilidh and disco from 8pm until late.

The feast is organised by Dibgy Village Hall committee to raise money for the upkeep of the hall, which has a charitable status.

The committee has worked hard to make it an action packed day for the family and is hoping people will turn out in good number to support the feast and support the village hall.

Digby Feast starts at 10am and continues until 5pm.
