Win a Zoomster!

THERE are a number of activities planned for children and grown-ups associated with teh latest exhibition at Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design.

Mbrela is the collaboration between three product design and industrial design programmes based at three international universities; the University of Lincoln in the UK, Philadelphia University and San Jose State University in the USA.

This exhibition, situated in the Roof Gallery, offers visitors a glimpse of their recent collection of products that have been designed and created by the staff and students across the continents, through the use of blogging, Skype and research visits.

To celebrate mbrela, the National Centre will welcome guest speakers from the three universities for an evening of presentations and an after-hours tour of the exhibition.

This one-off event on October 3 from 6pm to 8pm is ideal for anyone interested in or studying design.

One exhibit featured in mbrela is the ‘Zoomster’, a children’s ride-on toy that can be decorated by its owner. As part of the exhibition, the National Centre is asking young people to draw their very own design for a chance to win a Zoomster to zoom about on.

The exhibition, talk and competition have free entry.

For more information call 01529 308710, email info@nationalcraftanddesign.org.uk or log onto www.nationalcraftanddesign.org.uk

Mbrela will run until November 4.
