A social club is looking to recruit more members to boost its ranks.

Heckington Young Farmers Club currently has about 15 members and is one of the smallest groups in the county. In order to widen its appeal members are raising awareness that it is a great way to socialise and meet new friends, with no need to be involved in farming as everyone will be made very welcome. Members can be aged 10-26 years, although currently their youngest is 15, and they meet every Monday evening at 7.30pm in the Nag’s Head in the village. Alternate Mondays the group join in a wide variety of activities, from bowling to salsa dancing, plus offering regular weekend social events, like ghost walks and foam parties.
