Young snappers wanted

YOUNG photographers are being urged to enter a competition to celebrate the best things about their village.

Sleaford based Community Lincs is running a digital photographic competition open to all amateur photographers as part of its celebration of 50 years of the Best Kept Villages and Small Towns contest.

This year’s theme is What Is Best About My Village, giving people opportunity to capture village or small town life in the county as you see it.

Entry is free but the deadline of September 1 is fast approaching, with two categories - under 18 and 18 years and over (one entry per person). They are particularly short of entries in for the under 18 year olds.

The winner gets a £50 gift voucher and a framed certificate, second place gets a £25 voucher and framed certificate, third place gets a framed certificate. The winner will be announced after September 14.

Photos uploaded must be under 3MB, for details go to www.communitylincs.com/photo-competition.
