Sleaford and District Lions received a post-Christmas boost to their fund for good causes this week.

The social group of fundraisers had helped set up a Santa’s Grotto at Four Seasons Garden Centre in Silk Willoughby, which they manned during the three weekends up to Christmas.

Visitors gave donations before giving Santa their Christmas wishes and raised £300.

Director of the garden centre, Nicola Woods (pictured centre), presented the money to, from left - Lions president Bob Coxhead, Lions sleigh organiser John Kyte and Lioness president Tracy Arnold last Wednesday.

Mr Kyte said: “We made £3,500 this year from collections going around town in the sleigh in December.”
