Sleaford Cricket Club played host to English county champions Worcestershire back in August 1990, the visitors captained by Phil Neale (who later played football for Lincoln City).

Worcestershire scored 282-4 off their allotted overs. Phil Weston hitting a dazzling 105, supported by Steve Rhodes (43 not out) and Graeme Hick (64 not out).

In reply Sleaford managed 228-8 including 45 from Chris Travers and a battling 51 from skipper Clive Wicks.
