There was more happening than ever at this year’s Sleaford Live arts festival, ranging from art and theatre to glam rock and everything in between.

Sleaford Live committee member Keith Collishaw said: “We try to put something on for everybody, but from what feedback we have had people enjoyed the events.

“Most people may have visited one or two but we had 40 events over the week, some running alongside each other. This is the most events and venues we have ever had and that shows a lot of support, so we are really pleased with that.”

He said a personal highlight was the hilarious comedy night at the Duke of Wellington in Leasingham.

At the Legionnaire’s Club on Saturday it was packed with a dancing night upstairs and a band down in the bar called The Glammed.

He said some events are not always to everyone’s taste but added there is still capacity to publicise the festival further and attract even more music lovers. The committee meet on Monday to debrief and start planning for next year.
