The NK Walking Festival will return for 2015 offering a wide range of walking opportunities this July.

North Kesteven enjoys a range of open countryside with fascinating heritage and diverse wildlife and the NK Walking Festival aims to showcase these opportunities for you to enjoy the great outdoors.

Following feedback from last year, the events team have been working hard to create a bigger and better festival including longer walks and added extras including a visit to Cogglesford Watermill in Sleaford, a pie and pea supper at Whisby Natural World Centre and even a visit to the Magna Carta Vault included in the Spires and Steeples walk in the first weekend. The festival has also been extended an extra two days to make sure that participants can get the best out of North Kesteven’s countryside and see what the district really has to offer.

The NK Walking Festival will take place from Saturday, July 11, to Sunday, July 19, and is packed full of walks across the district designed for all ages and abilities to enable as many people as possible to take part. Each walk will be led by a walk leader with the majority of walks free to attend.

Final details are being added to the 2015 programme and will be available as soon as possible. To register your interest in this year’s festival email the Events Team at eventsofficer@1life.co.uk or call 01522 870273 and the team will send you the programme once it becomes available.
