YOUNG poet Alex Ruby took part in a book signing session at Mablethorpe Co-operative store last week.
Staff members, and fellow fundraisers from Russells International Circus, Mablethorpe, handed over £700 to charity CLIC Sargent along with a brand new computer for Alex.

The money was raised at a fun day held recently to support Alex, 17, who is suffering from an inoperable brain tumour.

The Mablethorpe lad recently published his collection of poems to raise money for CLIC Sargent - which cares for young people with terminal illnesses.

Alex said: "It went really well, and I am now hoping to use the new computer to finish my poem about the local lifeboat."

* Alex's book is on sale now at Mablethorpe Co-op priced £5.
