THE knitting needles were going ten-to-the-dozen at a charity sponsored knit.
Keen knitters from the Sleaford area gathered at St Denys’ Church Room in town to raise money for Christian Aid week.
As well as raising more than £400 for Christian Aid, the knitters made a host of squares which will be used to create blankets to be sent to Romania.
Some knitters brought in squares they had previously made to add to the collection and well over 200 squares were created during the two hour knitting session.
A similar session was held last year during Christian Aid week when squares were knitted for blankets to go to Ashfield Lodge care home in Sleaford.
