Tuesday 4.45pm - AN 18-year-old man needed hospital treatment on Monday night after being attacked by a group of men with a knife.
The local man reported the attack to Sleaford police at about 10pm saying he had just been approached by four or possibly five men as he walked in field behind St Giles Avenue, Sleaford.

He received a chest wound, apparently from a knife before the men ran off. The injured man was treated by ambulance staff at the scene and later at Grantham Hospital before being released.

Police made an immediate search of the area but no arrests have been made and enquiries continue. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of St Giles Avenue prior to 10pm that evening and saw a group of men or saw the attack itself to contact DC Mark Croft at Sleaford CID on 01522 532222.
