DON’T miss out on winning the chance of taking your family to this year’s Lincolnshire Show - the county’s big day out - with our great reader competition.
The Sleaford Standard has teamed up with show organisers to give readers the chance of winning a family ticket to this year’s Lincolnshire Show, which is worth £45 and admits two adults and up to three children for one day of the show.
This year’s Lincolnshire Show will come to life on Wednesday June 20 and Thursday June 21, with attractions in the main ring which range from world-class jousting from the Knights of the Damned to top level show-jumping.
Reflecting the agricultural heart to the show, visitors will find pig racing, the spectacular Grand Parade of the best of the county’s livestock and the vintage to modern day agricultural machinery display.
There is an exciting mix of other rural and family attractions during the two days, including the best of Lincolnshire produce with delicious ingredients and dishes on offer at the massive food court.
And in the Discovery Zone, From Pork to Fork: The Story of the Sausage will explain how one of Lincolnshire’s most famous products reaches the table.
This year’s Sports Zone has top billing in the run up to the 2012 Olympics, and dogs will again be welcomed on to the showground site with Scruffts running regional heats for their best crossbreed dog on both days of the show.
Elsewhere, there is boutique-style shopping in the Mews and a shop to drop experience at the 600 trade stands at the show, offering anything from a new car to a pair of shoes.
