A SLEAFORD shoe shop chain has been challenging youngsters to show off their fashion design skills to produce some futuristic footwear.

Radley’s shoe shop in Bristol Arcade, which holds the Clark’s franchise, ran a competition for young visitors to the store.

Each child was given a black and white outline of a foot and asked to design a superb shoe or boot to wear.

The shop divided the competition into two age categories - under eights and over eights.

All entries had to be in by April 12 then shop manager Emma Hallewell acted as judge of the best designs based on colour and originality.

Teigan Kinnon, aged seven, of Sleaford won the under eights section with her colourful creation. Then Laura Brearley, 12, won the over eights with her gadget shoe design.

Both won Thornton’s Easter chocolate rabbits.

The Sleaford store was one of a chain of seven in the franchise which each ran a competition.
