Residents are once again being invited to join a scheme that could save them hundreds of pounds on their energy bills.

The latest chance to join the Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme started last Monday. The initiative sees residents teaming up to secure the best deal from energy suppliers.

In a recent exercise, the average saving per household that took up the offer was £230 – and 98 per cent of those who registered were able to make a saving.

You can register at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/switch. Alternatively, call 0800 048 8439. The registration number is open from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Once residents have registered, energy suppliers will be invited to compete with their best offers.

The scheme is free for households to join and there is no obligation to take up the winning supplier’s offer.

It is organised by Lincolnshire County Council, Lincoln City Council and South Kesteven, West Lindsey, East Lindsey and North Kesteven district councils, and administered by iChoosr Ltd.
