A major house builder has pledged to pump more than £700,000 into Lincolnshire as work at its new development in Sleaford gets well underway.
Persimmon Homes has vowed to plough £672,000 into education in the county with an additional £50,000 going on improvements to Holdingham Beck, as part of settlements agreed with North Kesteven District Council in securing planning permission for the development.
There are 290 properties under construction at the Holdingham Grange development on the outskirts of the town behind McDonalds.
A selection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes will be on sale with prices starting at £117,500, says the developer.
Persimmon is also building elsewhere in Lincolnshire with more than 100 homes at its Burfield Park development in Witham St Hughs.
Neil Follows, managing director for Persimmon Homes Nottingham, said: “Persimmon Homes continues to provide much needed homes to the people of Lincolnshire and we’re delighted to be investing once more into the county.
“Our £722,000 contribution will be staggered throughout the phases of our development at Holdingham Grange and it will be the education sector that will receive the majority of this investment. A large slice of this will go into preservation of the environment with £50,000 going towards improvements to Holdingham Beck.
“Our Holdingham Grange site will be a fantastic location offering a variety of homes in what is a beautiful part of the UK. Sleaford is just 30 minutes away from Lincoln and 45 minutes from the coast so our customers are ideally situated for the best of both worlds.”
