Hundreds of animals stolen in overnight theft

Hundreds of sheep and cattle have been stolen from a farm in Brant Broughton, according to Lincolnshire Police.

A force spokesman said that around 300 sheep and 120 cattle were stolen from the farm between about 8pm last Sunday (July 26) and 8am last Monday (July 27).

They said offenders apparently forced entry to the field near Beckingham Range and stole the animals.

Investigating officers are looking to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen anyone suspicious in the area at the time, or who may have been approached by any individual selling sheep or cattle.
