Jobcentre set to have official opening

Employers are invited to attend the official opening of Sleaford’s new Jobcentre Plus.

The formal unveiling takes place on Tuesday, February 24, and is being which is combined with a business networking event.

It runs from 8am to 9.45am.

The service moved from Southgate to North Kesteven District Council’s (NKDC’s) offices, in Kesteven Street, in December.

Along with its new location, businesses will be able to inspect the service’s ‘Digital Jobcentre’ recruitment tool.

In addition, staff will be on hand to explain how employers and providers can play a vital role in Universal Credit.

There will also be a chance to hear from speakers such as NKDC chief executive Ian Fytche and leader of the council Coun Marion Brighton.
