Neighbour concerns fail to halt store plans

AMENDED plans for an extended convenience store on the outskirts of Sleaford have been accepted but neighbours still have concerns about disturbance.

Hockmeyer Motors of Holdingham has already been given planning permission to extend its Spar shop into the former car showroom section of the building, opening until 10pm each night.

Members of Sleaford Town Council last week discussed further amendments regarding details of air conditioning and refrigeration units.

Neighbours Mr and Mrs Durrant of Trevitt Close had objected and were still unhappy about potential disturbance and noise pollution. They doubted if the units were far enough away, at 17m, from their boundary.

The town council supported the amendments but has urged environmental health officers to closely monitor the noise at night.
