One year on for brewer
TO commemorate his first year in business, an Ancaster beer maestro is opening the doors of his up-and-coming brewery to the public.
Sleaford Brewery, the brainchild of Chris Smith, is celebrating its first year of business by throwing open its doors, situated at 21 Pride Court on Sleaford Enterprise Park, East Road, on Sunday, February 12.
The business, which sells Chris’ own brand of beers named Hop Me Up! as well as brewing onsite, was established last year by Chris as a retirement plan, and it has gone from strength to strength in that time.
Sleaford Brewery’s beers are conventional bitters, pale ales, porters and stout and can be found in local pubs on draught and in 500ml bottles via shops, Sleaford farmers’ market and from the brewery.
Hop Me Up’s beers are described as ‘modern, challenging and more robust beer’ for braver drinkers.
The Open Day on Sunday will be running from 10am to 8pm, and will feature several beers on tap for guests to try as well as a special Imperial IPA brewed for the occasion.
