A FORMER hospital building near Sleaford is on the market and the site is expected to be redeveloped for housing.

Orchard House at Greylees is to be sold on the instructions of NHS Lincolnshire. The building, which will now be demolished after NHS staff relocated to new premises, is located a short distance to the south west of Sleaford and is set in 4.6 acres.

The site is being marketed with a guide price of £1.5 million.

Hodgson Elkington, the chartered surveyors who are handling the sale, say the site is eminently suitable for residential development.

“This is one of the best residential development sites to come to the market for a while and offers developers the opportunity to acquire a substantial site within the well regarded Greylees development,” said Dan Race, partner at Hodgson Elkington.

The site is situated on the edge of the existing development and in a rural setting close to the A15 and A17 trunk roads and local facilities.

Among the other amenities near by for prospective buyers is Sleaford Golf Club.

The Orchard House site is next to the existing David Wilson Homes development at Greylees.

NHS staff at Orchard House have relocated to other NHS Lincolnshire sites in the county.
