Parking enforcement changes are a concern

MEMBERS of Ruskington Parish Council are concerned at the implications for Ruskington when Lincolnshire County Council takes over responsibility for parking enforcement across the county.

At last week’s meeting of the parish council, chairman Peter Cunningham said: “I would like to know how the parking enforcement is going to affect Ruskington. We need someone from the county council to tell our parish what is going to happen.

“Whereas I can now get a PCSO to help whenever
we have a parking issue,
what will happen in the future?”

Parish councillors are concerned that when the county council takes on responsibility for parking there could be an increase in illegal parking in the village.

Mr Cunningham added: “This is going to become a problem for the village.”
