A Sleaford business will have new ownership after being run by the same owner for 30 years.

Designers Hair and Beauty, in Handley Street, has been run by Steven and Julie McLelland since 1987, but will be taken over on Monday, April 3, by Siva and Rebecca Arumugam.

In a statement on its Facebook page, Steven McLelland said: “I set up Designers in 1987 on a wing and a prayer and it has become a highly, successful business that has helped to build other businesses.

“I would like to thank everyone who has worked for me, with me, and all my wonderful clients for your support.”

Steven will now be working at Jimmy Baker’s Barbers, in Southgate, which Designers helped set up.

Siva and Rebecca will be running Designers alongside Little Hair Boutique, in Northgate, which they own.

They said: “We have known Steve and Julie for a very long time, we strive to maintain the high standards they have set since they established the business in 1987.

“We are very honoured and excited to be taking over the salon.”

The current team at Designers will remain there.
