With less than a month to go before its official launch on Friday, November 7, Sleaford Town Team has announced it has a surprise in store for attendees.
Clare Rayner, chairman of Sleaford Town Team, said: “All we’ll say for now is that it really shows how much support there is for the new Town Team.”
North Kesteven District Council Leader Coun Marion Brighton will be speaking to attendees at the launch’s daytime event. The town council is due to decide its participation next week.
Anybody interested in the team are welcome to sign up for a free ticket on Eventbrite.co.uk. The launch event will kick off with a day of advice, guidance and presentations from local experts from 9am-3pm at the Masonic Rooms, Watergate, aimed specifically at Sleaford’s business owners, employees and those who want to help the Town Team in its efforts to boost the local economy. The evening drinks reception is more informal, from 5.30pm to 9pm, at the same venue, open to all who wish to learn more about the Town Team. Both events will also provide people with the information and means to become a member.
Mrs Rayner said: “Membership will be the Town Team’s primary source of funding initially, but its main purpose is to bring the people of Sleaford and the surrounding area together, so that we can share views, make decisions and undertake actions as a unit.”
