Town restaurant in the running for food and drink award
BACK in July, we launched the Food and Drink Awards across the East Midlands to recognize the quality of food and drink from around the region. From posh nosh to chippies, we set out to find the best places to eat and drink.
The awards were open to all businesses who serve food and drink and we have been inundated with your votes.
The headline sponsor of the awards is New College Stamford with support by category sponsors. Each region has been voting for their top places to eat and drink across 14 different categories and it’s now time for the top establishments from each region to compete to be the overall East Midlands winner.
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony and gala dinner on Sunday October 28 at Greetham Valley Hotel, Golf and Conference Centre, hosted by celebrity chef Aldo Zilli.
So what are you waiting for? To vote for your favourite finalist – simply either go in and register your vote with them in person (see list below), or on-line at: http://www.eastmidlandsnewspapers.co.uk/events/food-and-drink/ or text your vote – details of text lines, finalists and all information regarding the awards can be found by visiting the website address.

STAFF at the India Garden in Sleaford are excited to be in the running for best Indian Restaurant in the East Midlands.
The premises in Market Place has just undergone a dramatic transformation after serious flooding from heavy rain in June, but underwent a thorough re-fit and redecoration, including carpets and flooring, redesigned bar area, lighting and completely refurbished customer toilets.
To celebrate the new, contemporary look and encourage customers to see the difference, proprietor Nadim Aziz has joined with the Sleaford Standard to bring readers a fantastic meal offer. Just cut out the coupon on this page and present it to staff at the India Garden to claim a free starter when purchasing a main meal to eat in (only one voucher per meal purchased). The offer runs until close of business on October 16. This is the last week of the offer so make sure to take advantage of this great value deal.
Check out their redesigned website to browse the menu in advance too, go to www.indiagarden-sleaford.co.uk.
