Car fire blocks A15 at Navenby
Two fire crews were called out to a car on fire on the A15 at Navenby last night.
Crews from Sleaford and Metheringham were called to the blaze just before 6pm and put out the flames using a hose and a dry powder extinguisher, according to a report from the fire service.
The road was blocked in both directions, affecting traffic between Lincoln and Sleaford while emergency services were on the scene between Green Man Lane and Navenby Lane.
The route was clear again by soon after 10pm.
Investigators believe it was started by a mechanical fault in the engine bay.
