Car fires on the A17 near Sleaford and at Metheringham

Sleaford firefighters were called to the A17 yesterday (Tuesday) evening when a car was on fire.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to put out the flames.

The alarm was raised shortly before 6.30pm.

Just after 9.20pm a fire crew from Metheringham was called to tackle a car blaze on an old airfield near Martin.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has not yet given a cause for the blazes.
