A regular charity fundraiser from Ruskington will be doing it again later this month.

Luke Burch and friends from his fishing syndicate, Team Primal, will be holding a charity fishing match at Woodland Waters in Ancaster on March 20 from 12noon.

It will be a non-stop sponsored 48-hour carp fishing match to raise money to help a local family and their two-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with leukaemia in Decemberr.

Luke said: “A friend of mine, Tommy Porter, from Grantham, contacted me asking if we could help organise an event in aid of the family.”

Ben and Vicky Dellaway, of Grantham, will use the money to help with the cost of ongoing trips to hospital while he takes time off work and a maybe a treat to cheer up little Alana.

Anglers will pay £30 for 24 hours and £45 for 48 hours. The fishing lake will be making a donation too. There will be a cake stall and fishing tackle companies have donated raffle prizes. People can turn up on the day and donate too.
