Macmillan Cancer Support is inviting readers to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday (September 26).

Just get together with family, friends or colleagues and enjoy cakes and a coffee - a very enjoyable way of helping raise over £20m to help the charity reach more people affected by cancer.

The money you raise will help Macmillan fund specialist nurses, new cancer centres and grants to support people living with cancer who have financial problems.

For more information visit www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee or call 0845 070 1315.

St Andrew’s School, Leasingham will be holding a Macmillan coffee morning in school from 10am to 11.30am in which the children and parents will be participating. Everyone welcome.

Sleaford Lioness Pam Kyte is holding a Macmillan Coffee morning between 10am and 1pm at 33 Sheldrake Road, Sleaford. All welcome.

Staff at the head offices of Turnbull and Co builders’ merchants in Southgate, Sleaford are looking forward to hosting their Friday coffee morning.

Sam Martin at Turnbulls said: “There will be loads of cakes and of course coffee and other drinks. This year Macmillan have challenged us to ‘Shave or Style’. You can either style your hair or get rid of it completely.

“We’re very excited that one of the brave members of the team has committed to shaving his head to help raise even more money. Last year we raised around £1,000 – this year we want to beat that.”

The annual coffee morning will also be staged at Greenfield Community Centre, off York Road on Friday, September 26, from 10-12noon.

Coffee mornings are also taking place at Revive Beauty Salon at Clover House, Boston Road, Sleaford and at Newton Fallowell estate agents in Southgate from 10am.
