Health and social care students at the Ruskington St George’s Academy have handed over money they raised for charity.
Students served tea and coffee along with yummy cakes for the Wolrd’s Biggest Coffee Morning event for Macmillian Cancer Research.
Music students also performed some of their favourite songs and the morning was a great success, raising £203.33. Tanya Taylor for the Macmillan Fundraising Team has visited the school to accept the money. She said: “The fantastic money raised by St George’s Academy will be helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer across the UK.”
Anne Nadin, health and social care instructor at the school, thanked the students and also those members of the public who helped support it by donating what they could: “After my family had to use the support and excellent work of Macmillan a few years back, it feels fitting that I have helped give something back to them.”
