A Bourne-based property developer is inviting residents’ input on a proposed second phase of a housing scheme off Grantham Road in Sleaford.

Larkfleet Homes already has outline planning permission for housing on land south of Grantham Road between the A15 and Northfield Road.

Detailed plans for 200 homes will be submitted in the coming weeks.

Now the second phase to be proposed, north of Grantham Road, will be for up to 200 new homes plus potentially commercial premises to “serve the needs of the local area” explains the company’s Planning Director Mark Mann in a letter to local residents.

It would include some affordable and starter homes, he says and be a mixture of two, three, four and five bedroom properties, plus open space with play area.

He says: “We are keen to consult and hear people’s views before we submit an outline planning application later in the year. In particular we would like views on providing local facilities for the area including some shops, offices and possibly a public house.”

They will be holding a public exhibition at the New Life Conference Centre on Mareham Lane, Sleaford on May 4 from 3-7pm with a view to submitting a planning application later in the year.

The team will be able to answer questions, including information about the Larkfleet Group’s Community Fund. For each open market house sold, Larkfleet will donate up to £500, up to £75,000 to support community projects decided by local people.
