QUARRINGTON

Runner Julie Spencer, who will be runing in the 2013 London Marathon, has to raise £1,700 for domestic violence charity Refuge to take part.

Her aunt and uncle, Jan and Paul Gerrard from Tattershall Bridge, have given her a helping hand by donating the contents of their large bottle of loose change to her cause.

LEASINGHAM

HALLOWEEN PARTY - There will be a family Halloween party at Leasingham Village Hall on Saturday, November 3 from 6pm to 11pm. There will be a Best Dressed competition, which will be judged at 6.30pm. Food will be available along with a bar, disco and raffle. All proceeds will go to Leasingham St Andrew’s School funds.

Volunteers are required to decorate the village hall for the event and help out during the night. Anyone who would like to help, call Katie Phipps on 01529 300811.

OVER 60S - Leasingham Over 60s Club will next meet on Wednesday, Ocotber 31 in the village hall from 2pm.

COFFEE MORNING - The recently held Fairtrade coffee morning run by St Andrew’s Church fundraisers made £100 for church funds. The 200 Club winning lottery numbers were drawn and the numbers have been posted on the outside church notice board.

GARDENING GROUP - At the last meeting of the Leasingham and District Gardening Group, Sue Stephenson gave a talk about her life and the setting up of her Puddleduck Paddock.

This month’s meeting will be held on Thursday, November 1 in the village hall at 7.30pm, when the guest speaker will be Nick Willey. His talk will be on the role of the Wildlife Crime Unit. Visitors welcome.

CRAFT FAIR - The Leasingham Christmas Craft Fair in the village hall on Saturday, November 17 from 10.30am to 3pm in aid of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

There is an opportunity to run a stall selling handicraft items at the event, for more information call Joy Young on 01529 303728.

FULBECK

ANTIQUE FAIR - An antique fair will be held at Fulbeck Village Hall on Saturday from 10am to 4pm. There will be a small entrance fee. For more information call 01400 230850.

BONFIRE NIGHT - There will be a traditional Bonfire Night event on Monday, November 5 at the Fulbeck playing field. The bonfire will be lit at 6.15pm and the firework display begins at 6.30pm. Hot soup and hot dogs will be on sale.

Entry is free but there will be a bucket collection to help cover the cost of the fireworks. All are welcome.

BOOK SWAP - A Book Swap shop is open every Tuesday morning in Fulbeck Village Hall committee room, from 10am to 11.30am. There will be a wide variety of unwanted books and people are invited to browse through the books.

Voluntary donations will be collected for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

WEEKLY DRAW - On Week 10 of the Fulbeck weekly draw, winners were Steve Swales who won the £100 prize, John Banks (£50) and Daphne Page (£10). Joe Stone and Alison Glazebrook-Sack, who each won £25.

Six members won £10 each in the non winners draw.
