A number of incidents of thefts from vehicles in the Digby area have been reported to have taken place on Friday night.

Police say vehicles parked on driveways have been broken into. The rear small window on one vehicle was smashed and there have been reports of a man trying car door handles in the village as well.

The male was described as white, slim build, 5ft tall, parted light coloured hair, aged mid 20’s wearing a white polo style top, dark blazer style jacket and dark jeans.

Police also received reports of incidents of shed and garage breaks in’s over the same evening where tools have been taken.

PCSO Sarah Kennedy of the Neighbourhood Policing Team asks all residents to make sure that vehicles, garages, sheds, outbuildings and gates to properties are secure at all times.

Anyone with CCTV or any information about the incidents is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting incident numbers 44, 103 or 160 of 10/01/15 and 272 of 11/01/15.
