ATM break in attempt at Holdingham Garage

Police are appealing for witnesses after an unsuccessful attempt to break in to an ATM machine at the Holdingham Garage at Sleaford yesterday (Thursday) morning.

The raid happened between midnight and 2am at Hockmeyer’s Garage on Lincoln Road, Holdingham. A window was smashed to gain entry and an attempt was then made to gain entry to the ATM compound. Nothing was stolen. Damage was caused to the machine but the safe was not breached.Police are keen to appeal specifically to residents of the estate at the back of the garage including people living in Stone Way, Covel Road, Trevitt Close and the surrounding area.

It is thought that the offenders may parked their vehicle in this estate and went on foot to the garage. They may have been carrying equipment such as a hammer.

If you saw a suspicious vehicle in the area, either at the time of the break in, or during the hours or days running up to the incident, call 101. Similarly if you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area call with details of what you have seen, quoting incident reference number 72 of March 12.
