Beware of dodgy door to door salesmen

LINCOLNSHIRE Police are warning householders to beware of suspicious salesmen selling dusters door to door.

Apparently there has been an increase in the number of these dodgy traders, often operating illegally without the appropriate pedlars certificates and are opportunist thieves.

If you can, check who it is at your door before opening it. If you do not know them do not open the door. Do not engage in conversation with them and certainly do not buy anything from them.

Despite what they say, police warn they are not reformed criminals working for probation, they are active criminals and will enter your home and steal what they can given the smallest chance.

If you have any elderly or vulnerable neighbours speak with them and help keep them safe.

Report any incidents or suspicious persons immediately to Lincolnshire Police on 101.
