An inquest into the deaths of a Ruskington couple has recorded an open verdict.

The bodies of Steven Harris, 51, and Caroline Harris, 54, were found in November last year at their council home in Cornwall Way by police after concerns were raised byNorth Kesteven District Council housing officers.

Their pet dog was also found dead in the property.

But coroner Richard Marshall recorded an open verdict at Lincoln Cathedral Centre on Thursday August 20 as he could find no specific reason for the circumstances of their deaths.

A post mortem revealed Mr Harris had died from a bleeding gastric erosions and that he had ascemic heart disease. But a post mortem of Mrs Harris’ body could find no clear cause of death.
