Crack down on youths

POLICE are appealing for help after receiving a number of complaints about youths misbehaving in Ruskington.

PCSO Sarah Kennedy of Sleaford Rural North policing team said: “We are currently having a number of problems with youths in the Chapel Lane, High Street, Co-op area of Ruskington.

“We currently have increased the number of patrols in the area and will be dealing with any youth robustly that is in the area causing any criminal damage or anti-social behaviour.

“We are encouraging the public to contact our non emergency number of 101 and inform us of any trouble in the area. We also encourage parents of any youths to inform them to only collect in groups in the park areas.”

Incidents have included one on May 19 when three male youths in a red car were seen throwing eggs at properties as they travelled along Manor Street in the village.

Youths have also been blamed for taking wooden plant pots from a property in the Parkfield Road area that evening.

Anyone who recognises the car or noticed any youths carrying wooden plant pots around these times contact police on 101.
