Girl (16) fends off two teenage muggers in Sleaford who try to take her phone

Sleaford police are appealing for witnesses to a shocking incident in the town where two teenage boys are alleged to have tried to mug a girl for her mobile phone.

According to police, the attempted robbery took place on Boston Road in Sleaford at 7pm on Monday February 27.

A police spokesman said in a statement: “A 16-year-old girl was close to the layby near the recreation ground when two young men, in their mid to late teens, attempted to steal her phone.

“The offenders, who were both tall and wearing dark clothing, pushed the girl - causing no injury - and demanded that she handed over her phone.

“They became agitated when she refused and both parties then walked their separate ways.”
